The auction is for:
The mega rare 1967 Canadian 1st edition original pressing of Pink Floyd's first 45 titled Arnold Layne. On the Canadian capitol Swirl Record Label 72475. Comes with the original Capitol protective sleeve. This is the first canadian copy of this scarce 45 that I have seen on the last 20 years. It may be the last!! Both tracks were written by the late Syd Barrett. The non-LP B-side only appears on the 9 CD Shine On Box Set.
The 45 is in near mint condition with a shiny high gloss finish. The record labels are also in near mint condition with the b-side having a small record store date stamp that was used to track inventory. The protective sleeve is in vg++ condition with some minor yellowing due to age. A grat collector copy of an almost impossible to find Canadian Pink Floyd rarity. Very few Canadian copies of this 45 were actually pressed and it's amazing to find a copy of this 40 YEAR OLD 45 in such nice condition!!!
AS WELL, the record label incorrectly lists the group as The Pink Floyd as opposed to their proper name Pink Floyd. This rare misprint only appears on the Canadian Capitol label pressing.
