Minor Threat 7"EP TEST PRESSING Dischord #3 MINT
Never been played, in plastic bag since it was made DESCRIPTION: Absolutely MINT condition Test Pressing of Minor Threat's 1st 7" EP, originally released in June 1981. Dischord No. 3, Dischord Records, Washington, DC.  I don't remember how many test pressings we made, but my guess is 50.  This was only Dischord's third record, and at that point we did not have a long list of radio stations and magazines to send advance copies of a record to.  Plus, we were counting our pennies, and I'm pretty sure that pressing 100 test pressings would have seemed pretty crazy thing to do and been beyond our budget.  Black vinyl record with large jukebox hole, yellow "United Record Pressing - Test Pressing" labels, in white paper sleeve.  Written on paper sleeve by me (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) is "Minor Threat" in blue marker and "#3" in ball-point pen.  This test pressing has the first appearance ever of the song "Straight Edge" (the same can be said for the other 7 songs, except none of them became movements!)  
 This Minor Threat record has 8 songs: "Filler", "I Don't Wanna Hear It", "Seeing Red", "Straight Edge", "Small Man, Big Mouth", "Screaming At A Wall", "Bottled Violence", and "Minor Threat." Produced by Minor Threat, Mixed by Skip Groff. Recorded by Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, Virginia (on 4-track tapedeck, in the basement of his house). 
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  This test pressing is in absolutely mint condition, has never been played, and has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust since it was made 28 years ago.  White paper  sleeve is a teeny bit rumpled, but not badly (see photo).  It comes from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......

Outside of USA, reasonable Airmail rates apply.
