Provenance, from the collection of a BBC Radio Production Assistant, who worked with Terry Wogan and others:
This was given to me in 1967 by a record plugger for Columbia Records to launch the career of Pink Floyd. Record pluggers used to tout round to all producers with the hopes that we would include latest releases in our daily slots on Radio 1 and Radio 2. The record has my name “Ann” on it so that it could be returned in the programme box sent over daily to the studio so that the DJ could use it and ensure it was returned to me.
I was also invited to the launch party of Arnold Lane at a London venue with psychedelic lighting and where Pink Floyd were introduced to BBC and other producers.
