This very special record contains two music styles:
1st side ( Jungfraujoch ) 'The last Siwss Dixie's - Dixieland Jazz - The tracks come from Swiss folklore ( e.g. DERT OBEN UF EM BARGLI )
2nd side - Pierre Cavalli with beautiful smooth Latin Jazz.

Cavalli played violin as a child, started to play guitar when he was 15 years old. He began to play Modern Jazz, joined the Swiss All Star Bebop Team. He worked with Hazy Osterwald and Kurt Edelhagen.
He moved to Paris in 1953, founded the Pierre Cavalli Trio. He worked for Quincy Jones (Et voilà!, 1957), Michel Legrand, Friedrich Gunda, Stéphane Grappelli.
He joined in Switzerland the DRS Big Band and worked with Dennis Armitage ( Hazy Osterwald Sextet ). He worked with Hans Koller (International Jazz Workshop, 1964) and Atlantis. He moved to Brazil. Later he founded with Thomas Moeckel, Markus Plattner and Roberto Bossard the band Guitar Summit - 4 guitarists & rhythm section. He is well known as a musicians here in Basel, where he played many times in Jazz clubs. He appears also in the famous Atlantis recordings the together with Elsie Bianchi.
