Up for auction is a brand new, unopened copy of Phish's "Party Time" LP. Originally, "Party Time" was available only on CD as a part of the "Joy" Box Set. As part of their SuperBall IX festivities, however, Phish chose to issue "Party Time" as a double LP and make it available only at the festival's JEMP Record Store. The line to purchase this recording was even longer than the line to purchase festival posters.
This recording is culled mostly from the "Joy" sessions, but includes versions of songs written back in the 1990s ("In A Misty Glade") as well as a variation on Trey's "Let Me Lie." This record is beautiful and, in many ways, superior to "Joy" itself. "Liquid Time," for example, is some of Trey's best songwriting of Phish's modern era.
