Description
These are the acetate test pressings for the Phil Spector Christmas Album. They are from the Columbia Record Studios at 49 East 52nd Street, NYC. These are from the collection of the late TJ Martell. They have his last name written on the top right hand corner of the poly lined sleeves. There is no jacket with these test pressings just sleeves. The condition is basically mint. I played them once to transfer them to digital and confirm the music. They have what I believe is the mastering engineer's initials at the bottom of the labels on both discs(Side A & Side B).They appear to be SUN but it is hard to read exactly. I am unsure as to the dating of these but I imagine an expert in the Spector discography could help in this regard. This is a PAYPAL only auction. I will not accept any other form of payment-don't even bother asking. Please see my feedback to get a sense of my expertise in record selling. Other than the Parliaments Acetate from the 1950's I sold a few years back this is the rarest piece of music history I have put on the market. I think that it is safe to assume that with the exception of Mr. Spector himself this is the only known copy.
