My wife Lesley’s relative owned a record shop in St Neots.
Peter Green came in one day and ordered some music. My wife’s sister talked at length with Peter and said her sister Lesley was a great fan and has his LP “The Pious Bird Of Good Omen” Peter said “I’ll sign it for her when I collect my vinyl if she wants “
When Peter Green returned to collect his order he was with his Manager.
He signed the LP cover with a marker pen.
He signed it for my wife Lesley and then by mistake signed his real name Peter Greenbaum.
His manage said “Well Peter, now that could be worth some money in the future”.
Well let’s see!
Many thanks for looking and sharing this true story.
My wife has the LP now on CD and most importantly will always remember this special connection with Peter Green.
God bless you Peter, a guitar and music legend, you will never will be forgotten.
As you can see the LP’s actual condition is really excellent. although the cover and sleeve are a bit aged, but no rips.
Will be (obviously) very carefully packed and sent Royal Mail insured delivery.
