FLEETWOOD MAC -THEN PLAY ON
Format - 12" Vinyl LP
Label/Cat.no. - Reprise RSLP9000
Year - 1969
Condition:
The vinyl is in VG+ condition, with just a couple of light marks and both labels are perfectly clean. The matrices are A1/B1
The gatefold outer sleeve is in VG+ condition, just beginning to show its age. On the front, it appears to be signed by Peter Green, signing, as he often did, with his real name. "Peter Greenbaum".
I don't have any incontrovertible evidence that this signature is genuine, but there are a couple of things which lead me to believe it is real.
1) Comparing it with other examples shown on the internet when searching for "Peter Green autograph", it does seem to be very like those which were signed as Peter Greenbaum.
2) I got this in a collection from a Fleetwood Mac fan, and many of his items are also being listed this evening (4th September). Although there are some rare-ish promo discs, etc in the collection, only this and one other item are signed, and the other one was signed by a bit-part player (Rick Vito). There are no items "signed" by Mick, Stevie, Lindsey, etc, which you would expect, if the guy was adding fake signatures.
3) Finally, this is a reasonably valuable item, even without the signature, and it's unlikely someone would risk that value by attempting a forgery (which could easily go wrong).
Because I'm only 99% sure, I am starting the listing at a pretty reasonable price, and I'll let you guys make your minds up. Please also take into account the quality of my feedback.
