This is one of a few records in this series that will be up for sell over the coming days.
This is probably a one off copy recorded by Burnett Cross for Percy Grainger to be given to Elsa. I believe Percy had a step daughter called Elsie who was sometimes referred as Elsa, other records in the series suggest this is who it was for, (although I cannot confirm this).
The record is has dated performances as follows:-
Nov 21 - 1950 - Improvisation on Grieg's "The Cowkeeper's Tune" - (Recording made by Percy Grainger at Burnett Cross apartment, November 1950.)
Dec 31 - 1950 - "Niles Tallefjorden" from Grieg's, Op. 17 ?
Norwegian folksongs from Grieg's, Op. 17: I know a little Maiven??? The suckling - pig, sunfair
