This is one of the most sought-after of all the 45s put out by the incomparable Poets of Rhythm, probably the best funk band the world has seen since the golden years of '68 - '72. Personally I cannot decide whether this one or 'Augusta Georgia' is my favourite, so let's just say they are joint favourite. Whatever your opinion, you must agree that 'Serengeti Stroke' is up there with the best new funk 45s of recent years, even though this was recorded 11 years ago.
