This is a copy of the self-titled lp by the US group, Family Times Band. Released in 1976 as a privately pressed edition of 500 on the Casey Records label, this lp runs the gamut from killer hypnotic acid folk psych ("Sitting By The Ocean") to West Coast psychy folk rock ("She's Gone"), 3rd Velvets/Hackamore Brick sounds ("All I Need"), to fuzzed out rockers ("Cause You Know"). With a band consisting of 2 brothers and 2 sisters, the lp comes across as being very much a mixture of the Seventh Dawn "Sunrise" lp and albums by bands such as Art Of Lovin', Growing Concern, etc. Despite the 1976 release date, the lp is much more in keeping with 1969-70 sensibilities. Instrumental lineup is drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards (piano, organ), male and female vocals. Lead vocals are chielfy male, with female harmonies. Lead vocalist, composer, and guitarist Don Lietzke sounds very much like Mandrake Memorial's Michael Kac.

The band was tracked down and a small number of sealed originals (less than 5) were obtained. All sealed copies have been sold. This copy is the inital copy that I came across in a used record store, after which I contaced the band.  SO, THIS IS THE LAST COPY THAT I WILL BE OFFERING FOR SALE. The album uses the same generic cover art as the Asylum "First And Last" lp, but this is a much superior lp to these ears and is indeed an excellent candidate for a reissue.  Well produced and engineered lp also.  Cover is M-, still in the shrink wrap. Disc is a super clean VG++(+), perhaps a paper scuff or two, maybe a wispy hairline mark, nothing more. Plays beautifully. I have placed what I feel is a very reasonable reserve on this lp, due to it's extreme rarity. If there are any questions I can answer, please don't hesitate to ask.
