PROFILE "SANDS OF TIME" LP - On ENCOUNTER Records, EN 3001 (stereo).  Extremely rare original U.S. pressing LP - NOT A MODERN REISSUE.  Serious funk record from 1973, produced by and featuring Bernard Purdie!!  Features "99 Baseball", "Shaft" & "People Make The World Go Round".  This is the guaranteed original pressing on heavy vinyl in a thick laminated gatefold cover!  The personnel:  Jimmy Owens/trumpet; Seldon Powell/tenor sax; Garnett Brown/trombone; Dave Barron/guitar; Don Sands/organ; Paul Martinez/bass; Bernard Purdie, Butchman Bateman/drums; Norman Pride/percussion.  The vinyl is in phenomenal NM condition (beautiful gloss)!!  Labels are pristine.  The gatefold cardboard cover is in superb shape and displays wonderfully!!  Tiny cut-out notch at bottom left corner.  NO seam splits, NO writing.  The songs are:  99 Baseball; Let's Stay Together; Here's That Rainy Day; Shaft; People Make The World Go Round; Had A Dream; By The Time I Get To Phoenix.
