SHINE ON BRIGHTLY Label : REGAL/ ZENOPHONE Catalogue No. : SLRZ.1004 Pressing: 1968
"Shine On Brightly" is the second album by the psychedelic and symphonic rock band Procol Harum. It was
released in November, 1968. It includes one of the first progressive rock epics "In Held Twas In I" which is
over seventeen minutes long. Gary Brooker performs most of the vocals while Keith Reid provides the lyrics,
although acclaimed musician "Robin Trower" plays lead guitar, he shares the vocals on the track "Wish Me Well".
This is one of the first albums to combine progressive and symphonic rock with art and baroque rock and roll
it all together as one. It is a true classic!!!
Outstanding Tracks:
Shine On Brightly, Wish Me Well, Quite Rightly So, In Held Twas In I
Condition:
Jacket: VG+ This is the British version "flipback" jacket in excellent condition! The cover artwork by
George Underwood and Howard Parker is terrific. The condition is a strong "very good plus".
There are no drastic blemishes to describe. This record had two different covers in both the
U.K. and U.S. The cover liner notes are extremely interesting. This is a beautiful cover!!!
Vinyl: VG+ The vinyl deserves a very strong "very good plus" grade. The sound quality is excellent.
There is just slightly some background noise, nothing substantial! It is a deeply grooved
British import that is almost fifty years old! It is a very cool platter. Check out the label!
