From a well cared for jazz collection this is an original UK issue from 1971. Not a reissue! Record is unmarked and my highest grade of Near Mint. Sleeve is excellent – NO rips or splits, small name on back and small label on front with original price of 36/8. Has a light ‘line’ on the front, hardly visible. LP in original CBS printed inner sleeve.
Although the late Texas-born saxman made several recordings he still remained under the radar. Relocating to England he made this album with top UK jazzmen in 1966. In retrospect it’s not that avant garde.
