Jammies inna de area….DUBBING IS A MUST….”This is another late seventies dub album….a coverless pre-release….mainly featuring dubs of the Black Uhuru rhythms that found vocal outlet on the classic “Black Sounds Of Freedom / Love Crisis” album, treated to mixes cleared of vocal with emphasis on the determination of the bass and drum….track four and five are dubs to Uhuru’s Hard Ground and Willow Tree and it is with these tracks that the album begins to get serious. Side two kicks off with Uhuru Express an interpretation of the Sorry For That Man tune which precludes a version of the brilliant I Love King Selassie here titled King Forever…Two more tracks are dispensed with Tiger Dub and Mystic Feeling being versions of African Love and Natural Mystic respectively….pure roots dub and supposed to be Jammy’s first credited album….Lion Style” is still aired on the mighty Jah Shaka sound system even now, such is its crucialness (taken from Boom Shaka Lacka, early 90s issue)….what more to say???? KILLER STYLE DUB all the way…..mega-rare original press, the Matrix is JAMMY 227A DUB LP 33 1/3 rpm Made In Jamaica BS RRS/ JAMMY 226B (!!!)
