            This Immensely rare vinyl album is in Good condition only, and should be viewed as a collection filler.

 However, it does play well regardless of condition with no jumps and skips and very little surface noise in places. The vinyl plays a lot better than it looks and is an extremely enjoyable listen as along with PP’s beautiful voice and the production and input from the likes of Jagger & Lane, not to mention  Andrew Loog Oldham make it essential listening. A collection filler, maybe, or maybe the only opportunity you will ever have, no matter the condition, to own a copy of this extremely rare and wonderful withdrawn LP.

SLEEVE & VINYL:   To be viewed as a collection filler.The first of two albums that former Ikette P.P. Arnold recorded for Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label, and titled -- of course -- for her role within that organization, The First Lady of Immediate not only represents one of the most phenomenal voices of the age, but also stands as testament to the creative melting pot that was the label's credo. Recorded over the course of a full year, The First Lady of Immediate draws from a succession of sessions, dating back to Arnold's first dates with Oldham himself ("Everything's Gonna Be Alright" and "Life Is but Nothin'," her first single for the label). Next up, chronologically speaking, come recordings overseen by Mick Jagger ("Though It Hurts Me Badly" and "Treat Me Like a Lady") and the Small Faces ("[If You Think You're] Groovy"), before a lavishly orchestrated "First Cut Is the Deepest" spins out of a fruitful partnership with producer Mike Hurst and provides the album with what remains its best-known track. Despite such jumbled origins, the album holds together well. "Groovy," in particular, is a no-nonsense R&B pressure cooker, leaving one to wonder why the Small Faces (who provide instrumental duties on the track) never got around to releasing a version of their own. Spector/Mann/Weill's "Born to Be Together," meanwhile, is an absolute Oldham classic, bedecking Arnold's soulful voice with a full-blooded production that leaves the original sounding like a jellyfish. Unfortunately, the distribution problems that marred so many of Immediate's greatest releases raised their head once again. Not one of Arnold's singles made more than a mere murmur on the chart of the day, a fate that, in turn, reduced the album to little more than a discographical afterthought. Similarly, the mercenary repackaging that has since so blighted Immediate's memory skips so blithely over Arnold's long-players that many fans aren't even aware they exist. They do, and you should hear them immediately.

 MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

 EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

 VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

 GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

 FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

 POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

 BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

 Postage:  The standard mail option is via second class delivery at £4.00 All purchases above £45.00 will be invoiced for the insured Royal mail special delivery service at a price of £8.00. 

 Buyers can request the cheaper postage option however it should be noted that the maximum refund offered by the post office will be £45.00 irrespective of the actual price or value of the record. It is always recommended that for expensive records that the Royal mail special delivery service is always used.

  Overseas postage: Overseas Must pay via PayPal. Records over £30:00 sent standard air mail. Any purchases over £30:00 will invoiced for the insured International signed for service.

Packaging: All records are sent in proper hard cardboard mailers. Before packing the record and inner sleeve are removed from the record cover for sleeve protection
