The rarest of all the Synchronicity covers, a Grail-like item among collectors since its non-commercial release. No need to delve into details if you're already here - you know the drill...
Many of the photos displayed here are not on the final cover - please see pics for details and condition.
From a private collection, the owner took pride in these records and kept them in good conditions. Cover is STILL SEALED ~ There are some dings (impressions) on top and bottom of cover from sitting in milk crate I think.
Records ship in new mailer with bubble wrap - we will combine shipping orders with no extra or hidden cost.

The Police ?– Synchronicity
Genre: Rock Style: Pop Rock, New Wave Year: 1983 Notes: The album's original cover artwork, designed by Norman Moore, was available in 36 variations, with different arrangements of the colour stripes and showing different photographs of the band members, taken by Duane Michals The most common version Sting is reading a copy of Jung's "Synchronicity". In the USA and Canada a good majority of the pressings were issued on audiophile vinyl which appears black like most records, but is actually purple or brown when held up to the light.Tracklist

There are 6 different black and white (b/w) cover variants (these variants do NOT have the colored stripes).Each b/w variant can be indentified by the very first photo in the upper left corner of the front of the sleeve:

[4] - The Police - Synchronicity - portrait of Andy wearing sunglasses
[5] - The Police - Synchronicity - rotated (90 degrees counterclockwise) photo of Andy wearing sunglasses (with painted circle in the background) and next to woman with naked breast (THIS ONE)
[6] - The Police - Synchronicity - rotated (180 degrees) photo of Sting (50% face and body) right next to a (unrotated) photo of Sting with eyes closed next to a skeleton
This copy, like most original Synchronicity pressings, was issued on "KC-600 Audiophile Vinyl", and while appearing black, has a translucent BROWN/GOLD characteristic when held to light. Other versions may look purple.
Issued with Custom Printed Lyric Inner-Sleeve. Also includes Around The World mail-order form.
First Pressings have MASTERDISK Stampers in the Dead Wax
with Bob Ludwig's RL Mastering Signature beside the stampers.
