PLEASURE – Dust Yourself Off (1975) Fantasy-9473 – VG+/EX (cover/vinyl) PROMO LABEL

Their rare and killer debut LP, this is Wayne Henderson at his best. It’s a monster mix of funk and raregroove with Fender Rhodes and Arp plus deep percussion, hot guitar, electric bass and funky drums with brass. Deep production values are the rule here, and the songs are “Dust Yourself Off,” “Reality,” “”My Love,” “Midnight at the Oasis,” “Music Is My Life,” “Plastic People,” “Bouncy Lady,” “What Is Slick,” and “Straight Ahead.” This one rarely turns up.

This is a really nice copy. The cover has only slight wear on front and back, and it doesn’t have any seam splits, but there is edge chipping mostly along the spine and along the top seam some. But it’s intact. The vinyl (brown promo label) is clean and glossy with only insignificant sleeve scuffs – super nice. I grade this conservatively: VG+/EX (cover/vinyl).
