(Classic as classic can be...top early reggay by the gorgeous Pioneers...Sidney Crooks & Jackie Robinson...Lee Perry at the controls...producer Joel Gibson a. k. a. Joe Gibbs at the very beginning of his stunning career...and the Pioneers in horse-race-styleee...this was their initial hit after their 1967 re-union...chugging sounds from when JA was very young...comes as original press on Joe Gibbs' Amalgamated-imprint from Beeston St., Kingston, JA, W. I....1967/68 styleee...as I&I'd say...musical music...the roots of reggay...UK-release on Amalgamated AMG 814 in 1968...watch out...and watch out for my other reggae-items...soundfile on request...just send in your email-address!!!)

(Not sure if Lee Perry was at the controls even on this side...really have to admit that I prefer this side with its nice steel drums, stumbling riddim and harmonies...sweet like candy...like cotton-candy...Mr. DeeJay...please play that song for me...brings back memories...great early reggay from one of JAs premier vocal groups...jump for joy!)

WAX'N'SOUND: vg- / vg+, both sides look fine w/ light wear and surface marks, A-side has a tiny pressed-in piece of paper close to the end, does NOT affect play on my TT, good shine, better on B-side, plays excellent on B-side w/ punch, clear sound and t'ing, A-side suffers from some surface noise, not sure if a cleaning would improve, worth a try but may be it is the pressing, otherwise plays fine w/ only light crackle!
LABEL: shows very light general wear only, NO writings/markings, NO damages - watch the scan, please!
" REGGAE - SKA - ROCK STEADY - ROCKSTEADY " Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often).
Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being).
THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
