'ASSASIN'
on the original *PRIVATE* STAG MUSIC RECORDS HP 12S from 1974
¬ note; title is a deliberate mis-spelling of ASSASSIN ¬
Great heavy riffing and excellent hooks, this is worthy of the attention it missed when issued! They tell you to "play at the maximum volume your speakers will allow", but I would say it's enjoyable at any volume actually - great sounds, well crafted and recorded, and obviously a capable band altogether. Why didn't a major lable like Vertigo pick them up??
Who knows - but it has made this a very rare piece now.
I suggest snagging this gem, it's a fine heavy rock / prog recording!
This is a rare collectible, especially in this condition, and on this ORIGINAL 1974 ISSUE lable!
The vinyl is in WONDERFUL condition NEAR MINT,
with just one pressing anomaly; there's a small paper or something (tiny) pressed into the last few revolutions on side 2. This is not uncommon for private lable albums, and happily it's only on the fade-out area at the end of the disc. Otherwise, everything else is spotless.
The laminated cover is VG+ to EXCELLENT- just some signs of wrinkling here and there from handling. Nothing too obtrusive though, and a beauty overall, a well preserved 1974 original rarity!!
