THE RECORD IN AUCTION IS A PROMO OF PINK FLOYD 14 Hour Technicolor Dream That was a multi- artist event, featuring poets, artists and musicians. Pink Floyd headlined the event; other artists included: Yoko Ono and John Lennon, Arthur Brown, Soft Machine, Tomorrow and The Pretty Things.
Pink Floyd appeared right at the end of the show, just as the sun was beginning to rise at around five o'clock in the morning. The details of the set-list are rather sketchy; however, one source suggests that they played "Astronomy Domine", "Arnold Layne", "Interstellar Overdrive", "Nick's Boogie", and other material from their then unreleased debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
THE LP IS A PARTICULARY PICTURE DISC VERY HEAVY AND RECORDED AS AN ACETATE, ONE FOR ONE, DIRECTLY FROM THE MASTER IS A LIMITED LP ONLY 10 COPIES MADE IN ALL THE WORD PRESSED ON GATES FOR MUSIC LABEL. THIS IS THE COPY NUMBER 10/10. THE SOUND IS LIKE AN UFFICIAL ALBUM.
ON THE COVER THERE IS WRITE ONLY 3 TRACKS BUT THE LP HAVE 4 TRACKS(I THINK THAT THERE IS AN ERROR): SIDE A - INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE/ASTRONOMY DOMINE/MATHILDA MOTHER SIDE B- NICK’S BOGGIE
