ORIGINAL UK 1971 EMI HARVEST RECORDS .
This is an original first and very earliest UK pressing of Pink Floyd`s 1971 masterpiece MEDDLE LP. As you can see this is a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE Pressing. These Factory sample pressings are done is minutely small numbers and made for the record industry only and used to check the quality control of the record product. Because these FACTORY SAMPLE PRESSINGS are the first pressed it is believed they are superior in sound quality to stock copie because the pressing plates have not become fatigued by the repetition of pressing thousands of stock copies, so they are highly prized by serious collectors. Once the quality is checked and cleared as up to standard, then the go ahead is given to start the first run of "STOCK COPY RECORDS" to be pressed and sent into the record stores for sale to the general public. So be very clear as to what we have here. This pressing is the earliest possible and precedes the copies that go into the shops. The gate fold textured sleeve although delicate in nature is in EXCELLENT condition even though this item is 46 years old. As you can see there is a FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE sticker on the bottom left corner of the sleeve. The fact that there is no ring ware at all suggests that this record has been stored properly outside of the album jacket for most if not all of its life. All spinal writings are undamaged and can be read clearly. The inside of the gate fold is equally as excellent . The labels are flawless to both sides and side 2 bares the FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE industry sticker. Both side i and side 2 have a lovely deep gloss sheen with plenty of luster. Under a bright light there are a few wispy light hairlines that have no baring on the playing of this magnificent earliest of UK pressings. This record plays through entirely with no problems what so ever. Both the vinyl and the sleeve are in EXCELLENT condition throughout. This is a seriously rare opportunity for the serious Floyd fans and the serious record collectors to enhance the collection with an exceptionally seldom seen genuine rarity that was never intended to find its way outside of the factory walls !!!
