Description

This is an Auction for the 1970 Lp released by Pink Floyd entitled "Atom Heart Mother" released on Harvest, Catalogue number SHVL 781. This copy is a first press with NO EMI box and with the Gramophone text and Harvest text on the label. This copy also has the Matrix numbers of A-1G and B-1G with side one having the mother stampers of 1GD and side 2 1GO.

The Vinyl is visually in Excellent condition and looks really nice with a deep shine. There are some very light superficial sleeve removal type marks but it still looks really nice. The Lp sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The audio is clear and vibrant with excellent seperation. There is some very light background noise but overall a very good listen. Even the title track , which is a real test, sounds really good. I am happy to grade the audio as Excellent.

The labels are in Excellent condition and free from writing and stickers.

The Garrod and Lofthouse Gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition with some very light storage wear to the corners and edges. It still looks great when it is opened.

The Lp comes with its original Harvest inner sleeve which is in Excellent condition. The Lp will not be sent in this but in a new polylined inner sleeve.

Overall an excellent first pressing of this classic LP

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of  £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
