Description
I believe the story goes like this: a songwriter / producer recorded a singer named Celia Paul- his wife, or girlfriend?- on this 1977 LP, perfectly emulating the Spector girl-group sound on many of the tracks. Some are in Japanese, some in English. They are INCREDIBLE- they shimmer, they cascade... one even incorporates the sounds of rolling thunder ala "Walking in the Rain." Her voice reminds me of Priscilla Paris. I first heard tapes of these songs back in the 70s, but have never played this LP. I don't think it HAS ever been played but maybe once.

"In the liner notes to the LP he produced for CELIA PAUL, 'Yume De Aetara' ('If I Could See You In A Dream') (original LP: Nippon Columbia [Japan] 7017) Eiichi Ohtaki acknowledges his inspirations by stating (in Japanese), 'Dedicated to the songwriters of Aldon Music who influenced me in boyhood, and the Spector sounds that are still driving me crazy.' "
LP surface is exceptionally beautiful. This was probably played no more than once or twice. Cover shows some storage wear, but not much at all. Clean, shiny, minty! No scratches or aberrations that I can see. Please feel free to write me with any questions.
