Comment: Here is, probably for the first time ever, the incredible obscure MINIMAL SYNTH and avant garde album by the yet unknown swedish artist Peter Roos from 1983.
 
Musically ALL minimal synth collector fanatics out there will go nuts over the first track on this album!
 
This track is predominantly an ANALOG KORG SYNTHESIZER backed with a MEMORY RHYTHM BOX, chilly vocals and various other treated instruments and (d)effects. A fantastic edgy, yet quite melodic, minimal synth track indeed! Easily comparable to other swedish avant synth geniuses like Friz Be, ImpInk and Jonas Palm, but also the international likes of John Bender and/or perhaps some artists on the japanese Vanity label.
 
This album for sure also brings pleasure to the overall 'advanced listener'. It's hard to describe the rest of the album, but I would say 'psych-wave' or slightly 'avantgarde/ progressive'; still using synths and rhythmboxes at times, but also adding more guitars and various percussion instruments than on the first outstanding track.
 
I would say that he seem to have been very inspired by the likes of King Crimson and Peter Hamill, but also the swedish mid 70's progressive, and early 80’s postpunk and new wave scene. There is a great musical diversity throughout the album though.
 
Comes in an absolutely beautiful unique folded home made cardboard art sleeve with a thick cardboard lyric insert (worth having for this alone). Limited to 500 copies (where only some very few still exist today).
 
This is DIY at its finest. Steven – this one’s for you!
