Description
An autographed copy of "Fool's Mate" by PETER HAMMILL (of Van der Graaf Generator fame), found on the Famous Charisma label, #CAS 1037, issued in 1972. Tunes are: "Imperial Zeppelin"; "Candle"; "Happy"; "Solitude"; "Vision"; "Re-Awakening"; "Sunshine"; "Child"; "Summer Song (In The Autumn)"; "Viking"; "The Birds" and "I Once Wrote Some Poems". Other notable musicians include: Guy Evans, drums + percussion; Hugh Banton, piano + organ; Nic Potter, bass; Dave Jackson, alto + tenor saxophones, flute; Robert Fripp, electric guitar; with Mr. Hammill on lead vocals, acoustic guitar + piano. Gatefold cover is in excellent condition with slight rubbing at corners, plus a small split developing at the top seam of gatefold where the vinyl inserts into the jacket. There is a hole punched through the jacket at the top left-hand corner. Vinyl is in mint condition. Peter Hammill's autograph (guaranteed authentic) appears above the title on front jacket. I acquired his signature when he came through Cleveland, Ohio, on a solo tour many years ago. Famous Charisma label is pink with the Mad Hatter in the foreground.
