LP is in Near Mint condition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, without marks scuffs, or scratches of any kind. The fidelity is superb,with no distortion, pops, clicks,or background noise of any kind.


Jacket is in NM/EX+ condition. Original heavy and glossy jacket is in nice condition. There are virtually no scuffs, or blemishes of any kind.There is a very light shelf wear and a small impact to the upper left corner, as in image this includes a small (review stamp) on back.This lp is stored in the original inner sleeve. Drummer Pete LaRoca's one Blue Note album is a true classic. Born Peter Sims, he started going by the name of Pete LaRoca when he played in Latin bands, keeping that name when he played with Sonny Rollins (1957-59), John Coltrane (as the drummer before Elvin Jones), Jackie McLean and other jazz greats.. Before he retired from music in 1968 to become a lawyer, not returning to playing drums for a couple of decades, LaRoca also worked with Bill Evans, Art Farmer and Charles Lloyd. Basra, which features tenor-saxophonist Joe Henderson, has the definitive versions of "Lazy Afternoon" and Steve Swallow's "Eidertown" plus a memorable rendition of "Malaguena." Everything works on this set which has consistently brilliant solos from Henderson and pianist Steve Kuhn and stimulating support from Pete LaRoca.
