Description

Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition vinyl LP on the Impulse! Records label and a STEREO FIRST PRESSING and classic 1966 jazz recording featuring legendary clarinetist PEE WEE RUSSELL titled "Ask Me Now!"--the album is a late career triumph for the progressive Russell, who performs advanced compositions by THELONIOUS MONK, JOHN COLTRANE and ORNETTE COLEMAN with a quartet featuring MARSHALL BROWN on valve trombone, RUSSELL GEORGE on bass, and RONNIE BEDFORD on drums. The LP is a 1966 Impulse! Records issue with the serial number A-96, is a STEREO recording and 1st PRESSING and was made in the United States.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition and should play beautifully, with some light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play but NO other significant imperfections (this LP has some very quiet spots and most copies have a light tic or two in a couple of places, but the vinyl should sound fantastic overall); the deluxe gatefold cover is also in NM- conidtion with NO peeling of the lamination and a PERFECT front cover except for slight dings in the lamination on the lower spine edge and lower right tip--the cover has four hash marks and a single small note in green ink on the lower left on the title notes and just very slight shelfwear otherwise but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout!  The ORIGINAL ABC RECORDS / IMPULSE! INNER SLEEVE advertistng releases on these labels is also included and in excellent shape, with a partial split on one side and a small piece of transparent tape on the lower center edge.

Please Note:  I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $4.00 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)

Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.

Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.

Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.

Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches.  Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.

Very Good Minus (VG-)  A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.

Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.

Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP!
Thanks very much for looking, and good luck if you're bidding!
