Description

This auction is for a rare and out of print copy of the PAUL CHIAN / DER TOD split 7”, released by La Bande A Bonnot in 1993. You never see copies of this for sale anywhere, one of the harder to find and more obscure Paul Chain releases!

Paul Chain (the band) was the long-running experimental/stoner/doom/psychedelic project of the legendary musician and founding Death SS member of the same name. Between 1987 and 2003, the band released dozens of records, featuring nearly as many members over those years. The track on this split is entitled “Red Light”, and it features Baka Bomb on bass and Lux Spitfire on drums. There is a note on the lyrics sheet stating the following: “The language sung by Paul Chain doesn’t exist and is purely phonetic.”

The flipside of the this EP features the incredibly obscure Italian progreeisve industrial metal act Der Tod, with the track “Vampire.” Other than this split, they released one LP and vanished into thin air.

Both the vinyl and the lyrics insert of this record are in excellent condition. The cover is in decent shape, but it does show ringwear and has a small yellow stain where a price sticker used to be, as well as having some other superficial wear and tear.

I’ve never seen another copy of this record up for sale on eBay before, and I have no idea how many (or few) were pressed, so bid hard if you want this, because you might not see one again!
