Rid of Me is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician PJ Harvey. It was released by Island Records in April 1993, approximately one year after the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Dry. It marked a departure from Harvey's previous songwriting, being more raw and aggressive than its predecessor.

The songs on Rid of Me were performed by Harvey's eponymous trio, consisting of Harvey on guitar and vocals, Rob Ellis on drums and background vocals, and Steve Vaughan on bass. Most of the songs on the album were recorded by Steve Albini, and it was the last album they recorded as a trio before disbanding in late 1993. Rid of Me was met with critical acclaim, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 1990s and of all time, ranking at number 153 on the 2020 version of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (up from 406 on the list's previous edition).

This is an original 1993 European pressing.  The vinyl is near mint and has been well looked after.  The sleeve shows signs of storage, with some banding and some marks and dings on the corners (see images).

GRADING VINYL

These are my own grading criteria, so please ensure that you are satisfied with these descriptions.

MINT (M) The item is new, sealed and unplayed.

NEAR MINT (NM) The item is as new and the vinyl shows no marks or scratches, although it may have been played. The over and inner sleeve are in perfect condition and any additional elements are present in like new condition.

EXCELLENT (EX) The vinyl shows no evidence of hairline marks or scratches, but there is evidence that the vinyl has been played. The cover and sleeve are not damaged, but show some light signs of being used. Any additional elements are present and show very little signs of use.

VERY GOOD (VG) The vinyl shows some evidence of being played and has some light hairline marks. The cover and inner sleeve have some evidence of wear to edges/creasing etc. or there are some other signs of use. Any additional elements might not be present or are present with signs of use or elements missing.

GOOD (G) The vinyl shows signs of scratch and marks and will possibly produce some surface noise when played. The cover and inner sleeve have some creasing and corners and edges of the covers and inner sleeve have some damage and may be broken. Any additional elements may not be present and those that are, will have significant damage.
