6th National Richmond Jazz & Blues Festival Poster 1966.
This annual event, held at the Royal Windsor racetrack, was famous for it's important breakout sets, and 1966 featured no less than Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce in their 1st public appearance as CREAM. The festival held from July 29-31, was the band's official debut, and by all accounts it was a landmark gig in a weekend chock full of unparalleled performances by The Who, Small faces, The Yardbirds, Spencer Davis (with Steve Winwood) and many more. This is a wonderful example of this poster in excellent condition, having been professionally restored and mounted to acid free card for preservation. Originally designed and printed by Token Creative, it represents a fantastic testament to one of the greatest weekends EVER in British Rock music...where else would you find Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, and Steve Marriott all on the same bill?
