461 0CEAN BLOULVARD - Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 409/500!

Clapton's 1974 comeback album after his long reclusive struggle with drugs. This is Clapton's second studio album, following his Derek & The Dominos Layla masterpiece. Clapton fan favorites like "Let It Grow," "Willie and the Hand Jive," "Motherless Child" and his version of "I Shot The Sheriff" make this an essential record.

"Clapton emerged from heroin addiction with a mellower but still substantive musical outlook. Boulevard recast him as a survivor who had traded guitar histrionics for self-preservation. Songs such as "Motherless Children" flash his old chops, but here his fire is fueling, not consuming, him." - www.rollingstone.com

Features:
• Universal's 'Back To Black' Series - 60th Anniversary to Vinyl!
• Premium Audiophile Pressing

MONEY & CIGARETTES - Remastered From Original Analog Masters!

Money and Cigarettes marked several important turning points in Eric Clapton's recording career: his debut release on his own Duck imprint; the first album he made after giving up drinking; and marked his working with new players (with the exception of second guitarist Albert Lee) including Stax Records veteran bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn and Muscle Shoals drummer Roger Hawkins, also bringing in guest guitarist Ry Cooder.

His new songs reflected on his changed condition, with "Ain't Going Down," a thinly veiled musical rewrite of the Jimi Hendrix arrangement of "All Along the Watchtower," serving as a statement of purpose that declared, "I've still got something left to say." Other notable hits include "The Shape You're In" the acoustic ballad "Pretty Girl" and covers of Sleepy John Estes' "Everybody Oughta Make a Change" (significantly placed as the album's leadoff track), Albert King's "Crosscut Saw," and Johnny Otis' "Crazy Country Hop."

By the time Eric Clapton launched his solo career with the release of his self-titled debut album in mid-1970, he was long established as one of the world's major rock stars due to his group affiliations -- the Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, and Blind Faith -- which had demonstrated his claim to being the best rock guitarist of his generation.

Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo performer and as a member of the bands Yardbirds and Cream. He is the only person ever to be inducted three times. In his 40-year-plus career, Eric Clapton has received a total of 18 Grammys.

AUGUST - Remastered From Original Analog Masters!

The 1986 Clapton release, August, was primarily produced by Phil Collins along with Tom Dowd.

THE 2 INDIVIDUAL 180 GRAM MASTERPIECES FROM CLAPTON & WINWOOD

LASTLY INCLUDED IN THIS LP SET ARE 2 OUT OF PRINT RARE THE 180 GRAM AUDIOPHILE MASTERPIECES OF STEVEN WINWOOD AND ERIC CLAPTON SOLO LP'S

1ST ERIC CLAPTON - SELF TITLED - TREMENDOUSLY RARE U.K. SIMPLY VINYL 180 GRAM 1ST EDITION  -

Eric Clapton is one of only three artists chosen by his peers as a member of a group (Cream) and the soloist who achieved Top 50 status as an All-Time Rock n Roll Artist -- the other two were Beatles (Paul and John). This Simply Vinyl crafted another sonic beauty from Eric Clapton. This was recorded in 1970. Clapton’s solo debut includes a host of well-known singers and musicians like Rita Coolidge, Leon Russell, Sonny Curtis, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle, Bonnie & Delaney Bramlett. Clapton begins to establish his signature solo sound within this recording.

Tracks include: Slunky - Bad Boy - Lonesome And a Long Way From Home - After Midnight - Easy Now - Blues Power - Bottle of Wine - Lovin’ You Lovin’ Me - Told You For The Last Time - Don’t Know Why - Let It Rain

2ND STEVEN WINWOOD - ROLL WITH IT - TREMENDOUSLY RARE SIMPLY VINYL U.K. 180 GRAM 1ST EDITION -

Winwood returns to his R & B roots. Released two years after the excellent and deservedly very successful BACK IN THE HIGH LIFE, ROLL WITH IT sees Steve Winwood moving back more towards his roots, and returning to a somewhat more traditional rhythm and blues sound. Rather than complex synthesizer and percussion arrangements, ROLL WITH IT is dominated by piano and organ with punchy horns from the famed American trumpet/sax duo -

The Memphis Horns and the drums of John Robinson. The use of these natural rhythm section instruments gives the album a somewhat more organic and flowing feel than its predecessor and is exactly why this pressing delivers as Audiophile. The powerful production sound of Tom Lord Alge has evoked significantly and gives the record a very bright and urgent quality, and even the cover, showing a mature Winwood looking self-assured in jeans and leather jacket, hints at the tough and uncompromising R&B style of the record. Songs like “Shining Song” and “Roll With It” are worth of all the airplay they have ever gotten. Everything on this LP is Audiophile, most of it borders on great, but “Don’t You Kow What The Night Can Do” is completely unforgettable

There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs, features the likes of Bobby Whitlock, the vastly under-rated Jim Gordon and Carl Radle, all of whom Clapton had already ‘road-tested’ on his first solo album. Add to the mix his American guitar playing nemesis Duane Allman and we have all the ingredients for another history defining album of pure rock n’ roll. Because that’s what "Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs" is. Aside from anything, the album also contains the greatest rock song of all time with the greatest display of intertwining guitar playing ever heard. We are of course talking about "Layla" and it’s here on 180g vinyl.

Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs achieved gold-album status within months of its release in late 1970 and was entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000.

All four audio performances from Derek and the Domino's sole, historic television appearance on The Johnny Cash Show on November 9, 1970 - including Clapton's famous jam on "Matchbox Blues" with Cash and rockabilly legend Carl Perkins are found on the 2nd CD in this set. Also included are the two tracks produced by Phil Spector in early summer 1970 that amounted to the first release by Derek and the Dominos: "Tell the Truth" and "Roll It Over", the A- and B-side of a single that was quickly pulled from circulation by the group. The Layla session out-take "Mean Old World": the legendary acoustic duet performed by Eric Clapton and Duane Allman are also found here.

In addition to the 2 CDs mentioned above, this Super Deluxe Edition box set includes newly remastered and expanded 2-CD set of Derek and the Dominos: In Concert, recorded at the Fillmore East on October 23 & 24, 1970 and remastered from the original master tapes. Also on 2-CD are six exciting performances from what was to be Derek and the Dominos' second album, all remixed by the original session engineer, Andy Johns. The highlight of the six tracks is "Got To Get Better In a Little While" - the group's last recording - presented in this collection both as a mesmerizing jam version and as the first-ever release of the fully produced studio version, finally completed by founding member Bobby Whitlock on keyboards and vocals.

"The panoramic anguish of Eric Clapton's singing and guitar-playing here — in songs such as "Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad" and the searing title track — was the product of very private hurt: his romantic yearning for the then-wife of his best friend, George Harrison. "Layla" is also a two-LP feast of dueling guitars, as Clapton soared in tandem with session guest and slide virtuoso Duane Allman. They had not met prior to the sessions, but their interplay in "Key to The Highway" and "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" is both harmonious and fiercely competitive — electric, brotherly love." - www.rollingstone.com

ERIC CLAPTON & STEVEN WINWOOD AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN -

ERIC CLAPTON AND STEVEN WINWOOD LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN - History rocked and rock made history during a sold-out three-gig stand at Madison Square Garden in late February 2008 when icons Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood performed a concert together for the first time since their all-too-brief days in the legendary Blind Faith in 1969. Whether they will ever team again is unknown. With Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden, fans everywhere are able to experience the sound and the glory of a performance on that famous stage by two of rock's greatest artists. CREAM'S ALBERT HALL

In May of 2005 Cream returned to London's Royal Albert Hall, to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades. Performances from each of the four nights are featured and much more. Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.
