We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. - By far and away the most difficult to find of the three original LARD FREE albums is the second , "I'm Around About Midnight"
- Not common for the early-mid 70's, there was a one year gap between albums for LARD FREE, probably due to founder/drummer Gilbert Artman having trouble keeping a steady lineup. It's obvious he was really doing his homework between albums, while the production quality is still in the basement quality (a PLUS for some,) the music has changed though still in the progressive underground path yet far less primitive. With addition of ACID injections byway of swirling synths & HELDON (Crimson) guitar navigation's, the music takes on a stronger early Heldon feel to it, ("Electronique Guerilla" / "Allez Teia") to it which comes as no surprise as Heldon's Richard Pinhas appears in the line-up, giving his trademark Fripp-like guitar work and synths, but the underground jazz inflections lacking on any Heldon album are present. Some of the album even has a bit of 'Balinesian Gamelan' (Island) vibes, the part including gentle Hammond organ and pinging synths giving way to the sequenced synthesizer passage.

- Recorded in Paris during a three-day session and released in 1975, Lard Free’s second LP, “I’m Around About Midnight”, encounters the band with a different line up. This time, joining Gilbert Artman, is Antoine Duvernet on winds, Alain Audat on synthesizer, and none other than Richard Pinhas - at the same moment he was making waves in Heldon's first two *best* Lp's - taking the helm on acid-guitar and playing counterpoint to the drummer in a brilliant series of explorations.
