Description
Opeth's Damnation LP. This is the original vinyl release that Music For Nations put out in 2003 when the album was first released. It is the first LP pressing of this album. It is not the Koch/Music For Nations release that was later pressed in 2008.
I bought this back in 2003 and I am the original owner. I have played it 4-5 times over the years, including recently to make sure it has no skips. It plays through and sounds good.
The record and sleeve are both graded as VG+ for a few reasons. This pressing in general has some surface noise. It is not isolated to this particular copy. People online have talked about hearing some surface noise with this pressing, so I wanted to mention it. It is a general light crackle, and the occasional pop can be heard. The record itself looks terrific. A smudge here or there can be seen under bright light, but there are no scratches. It comes with the original generic white inner sleeve.
The outer sleeve has a 1.5 inch tear at the bottom of the sleeve. It is not a split, but is evident. This is how I was shipped the album, and from what I've read and seen online, the bottom tear happened to a number of copies when it was first sold and shipped out. Please see my pictures for a good picture of the tear, along with any other sleeve issues and the record in general.
