Description : The late Omar Khorshid is one of the most loved and respected musicians from the middle east, he single-handedly introduced the electric guitar to modern arabic music and created a very individual sound by blending the sound of his 'fender stratocaster' with heavy Hammond organ sounds and groovy oriental percussion. Among his influences from the west are Dick Dale the founder of the surf guitar sound and the Shadows' Hank Marvin. Omar has performed with the greatest ; Om Kulthum, Abdul Halm Hafez, Abdul Wahab, to name a few.
This is Omar's first Lp as a leader. This is an original first press release on the 'Voice of Lebanon'
The laminated cover is in excellent condition. A small tear of a few millimeters at back's opening and a small yellow music sticker. No splits, no writings.
The record plays very well and sounds nice throughout in spite of some visible marks from age and playing.
