For auction is a real find! This is an original 1956 Elvis Presley vinyl LP - made in Germany!! This is the self-titled debut album from RCA, #LPM-1254. It was recorded in "new orthophonic" high fidelity. If the German covers are similar to the American covers, then I believe this to be the first version of the album - pale pink Elvis, pale pink Presley, pale green logo box in upper right corner. Black label. Album a product of TELDEC, and vinyl marked "Made In Germany". The vinyl still has all its shine, and might hear a tick or two, but no bad scratches. The cover has no splits, some light wear or tattering around the edges. See pics for details. I would visually grade the vinyl at a VG+ to VG++/Exc (not quite NM), and the cover a solid VG+. Gradings according to Goldmine's standards, quoted below. Any other questions, please ask. "VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. VG+ covers should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking.
