Description

Television's Explosion of Beat Music - ABC's Oh Boy! - stage show programme, January 1959.

In 1959 the stars of ABC' Television's "explosion of Beat Music" - Oh Boy! - took to the stage on the Commodore Theatre, Hammersmith, from January 25th, for one week only. This is a programme that was purchased sometime during that run. It measures 9" x 6" and contains 12 pages that feature the running order of the show (in the centre pages), a full-page photo of the main star - Cliff Richard - full-page ads for the New Musical Express, ABC Television Network, Lord Rockingham's XI EP record, and the Parlophone LP - Jack Good's Oh Boy! There are also two pages of text and some pictures of the acts who appear in the show. As the running order confirms, these include Cliff, Lord Rockingham's XI, Dallas Boys, Vernons Girls, Vince Taylor, Neville Taylor, Cherry Wainer, Peter Elliott, and The Cutters. The programme shows very slight signs of handling but is in pretty much as-new condition with no rips or scribbles anywhere.

Proof of posting is always obtained from the post office. Insurance costs extra and is optional.
