Track B1 - the accompanying Reedy River Song Book notes, 'This version was collected from a shearer in Melbourne, and after it had been used in "Reedy River" for some time, the original published work by Edward Harrington to Roy Jeffries' tune was discovered.' Track B2 - 'Music restored by Margaret Sutherland.', 'Words collected by Vance Palmer.'
First released in 1954. There is a possibly earlier label variation without the printed Allan's and instead has a physical Allan & Co. stamp. There is an 'electronically enhanced for stereo' version by W&G (in 1967?), WG-25/S/5147.
