Uruguay pressing - De la Planta KL-8319 - 1972 /// Extremely scarce and hard to find in any condition, this is the OPUS ALFA original uruguayan hard psych record,wanted for collectors all over the world.

The Magic Land (the most important guide about Argentina and Uruguay prog, psych and beat bands of the 60's and 70's) says about this band and record: "In spite of their brief career, Opus Alfa remains in the history of uruguayan rock as one of the clearest exponents of an international sound. With a firm rythm section (Barral and Graf) and the appropiate voice of Figueroa, the band was the ideal vehicle for the pyrotechnics of Bertolone in guitar and the blues riffs of Losada on keyboards. A very effective hard rock, coloured with bluesy brushstrokes and a few psychedelia, is Opus Alfa's language to express troughout their brief existence. This superb album includes songs as "Calma de un dia", "Blue de mi ciudad", and "Miel y humo" and is recommended. After a highly publicised farewell, the band split.

Unfortunately, the hard to get album was never reissued and is one of the most wanted for international collectors."

GRADING

Cover: VG. This very fragile cover, made of thin cardboard looks in acceptable condition. Wear on seams and spine, soft creases on the front cover.(See scan.) Tape in the inside part, not the outside of the back cover, no writings or splits. I put this cover inside of a plastic bag to protect it and embelish it.

Record:Visual: VG+. Keeps the gloss with few light lines and some light scratch. /// Sound: A1,A3,B1,B4,B5 plays near excellent. A2 plays with some audible noise. A4 and B2 plays with soft clicks intermixed with the music.(the first half of the songs.) B3 plays nice with some clicks more audible than others for 30 seconds aprox. near the end. This 4 songs are in G+ condition. The sound is clear, loud and powerful! One label looks perfect and the other in VG+ condition with a small tear near the center hole.
