Description

This is the original and genuine NME (New Musical Express) award which was presented in 1996 to Noel Gallagher and Oasis for the

          Best Single of 1995/6 -              WONDERWALL.
In 1996 Oasis won three times at the NME awards ceremony. These were: Best Album - (What's the Story) Morning Glory, Best Live Band and Best Single - Wonderwall. This statuette is the actual one handed out at that years ceremony to Oasis for Best Single.
This statuette is I believe solid bronze mounted on a wooden plinth. It is approximately 13" (330mm) tall by 5.75 (135mm) at the widest point of the base. It weighs approx 6-7lb (10-12kilos). The brass plaque on the plinth reads:

The wrist of the statuette has a chunky solid metal bracelet (I'm not sure what metal it is gold/brass/copper/bronze?) which is inscribed:

OASIS
Wonderwall

This comes with a cerificate of authenticity and a letter from the person that i purchased it from explaining how he came to own it .
