Description:   Nortronics Alignment Tape. The reel is about 5 inches in diameter.

Country:   USA (Golden Valley, Mn to be exact). I know because I worked there in the 1970s. Yes I am aged!

Genre:   Spoken instructions with spoken words prior to the tones or group of tones:

  • 7500 cps for Azimuth adjust. 400 cps for checking amp output at speaker or output jacks. 10000 cps for adjusting tone control.

  • and another 1000 cps to set the 0 vu reference level at 10-12 db below tape saturation - used to set recording indicators

Reel Condition:  I have 100 percent play tested (not spot tested) this tape. There are no splices, dropouts. There is some clicks here and there but they won't affect the adjustment process. The reel is very nice, quite clean. The label is also very nice.

Box Condition:  Box outside is decent, no broken corners. The hinge is in tact.  The front artwork is a 8.0, with a small tear in the upper right corner. There is no artwork on the box rear. The inside of the box is hardly aged at all. The spine label is quite nice.

Leader:  Leader tape (3M timing) added at both ends. No reversing foil on this one.

Packaging:   The leader end is secured in the reel with soft foam to keep the tape from unwinding during storage and shipment. Foam inserts are placed around the reel in the reel box to prevent the reel from rattling around during shipment. The tape will be inside of a new plastic bag and the box will be also.
