Description
This auction is for a first pressing of Nick Drake’s Pink Moon – his third LP, recorded for Island in 1972. Catalogue number is ILPS 9184.
It is an original 1972 UK stereo first pressing on the pink rimmed Island label, and has A-1U / B-1U on the run out groove of the record.
It is in "very good to excellent" condition (using the gradings shown below) but do have a good look at the photographs. I’ve owned it since the mid-70s (I bought it second hand) and have taken great care of it. In the last 20 years it has probably only been played maybe 15 to 20 times on my Linn LP12 deck.
A close look under artificial light shows it has obviously been played many times but there is very little lessening in sound quality. It plays very well indeed with no significant surface noise being noticeable. The cover and packaging has some ringwear and light greasy marks on the matt cardboard sleeve and there is some creasing on the spine.

VERY GOOD
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
