This is an original UNITED KINGDOM first pressing of ELASTIC ROCK by NUCLEUS featuring the Scottish JAZZ great IAN CARR. This FIRST pressing is from 1970 and comes on the magnificent SPIRAL VERTIGO record label. Without doubt SPIRAL VERTIGO is the most collectible record label in the world. As the year fly by these rare original VERTIGO first pressings are getting harder and harder to locate.
The die cut gate fold sleeve has slight ring ware to the front and back and also slight edge ware . If you double click the pictures you will see there is some slight damage to the front sleeve where it looks like a sticker has been removed (top left corner) but even so the sleeve is still in good shape but due to the damage the best I could list this is VERY GOOD +. The inside of the gate fold is in EXCELLENT order the colours are vibrant and bright with no light fading at all. The original VERTIGO inner sleeve is here and has some light brown staining from light exposure but the cellophane is still fully attached. All spinal writings can be read clearly.
The record labels are in fantastic shape to both sides with only a few spindle trails visible. The vinyl looks immaculate in normal day light but when tilted in the light you can make out various really light hairlines. These have no effect on the playing of this JAZZ MASTERPIECE and it plays without fault all the way through. The vinyl has retained its new look luster sheen indicating not much playing or at least very careful handling over the last 48 years. The record grades a conservative EXCELLENT- . A very rare VERTIGO ORIGINAL hard to find in condition like this.
