CONDITION: STILL FACTORY SEALED Record store sticker on front cover
70s tax scam label release with an amazing story behind it.
All of the songs were supposedly written and produced by Steve Drake, aka Steve Kaczorowski.
But Drake/Kaczorowski was a scam artist, who liked to claim other people's recordings as his own!
In reality, Drake didn't write or produce these tracks, and they weren't even by "No Dice", a real British band whose name
was "borrowed" for this release. The tracks were actually by the Liverpool hard rock group Nutz,
and were secretly stolen off their "Nutz Too" album!
(One track off of "Nutz Too" was left off this album, and included instead on an album "by" the Steve Drake Band.)
To quote Patrick Lundborg on his "Lama Workshop" site, "a record by a British rock band is given a pirate release credited to
another British rock band, without either band's knowledge." Incredible.
