Description

UK issue on Jazzland (JLP 51) of the New Don Rendell Quintet's "Roarin'" LP. The 7 tracks from 1961 include Blue Monk, Jeannine & So What. As well as Rendell (tenor sax), the quintet features Graham Bond (alto sax), John Burch (piano), Tony Archer (bass) & Phil Kinorra (drums). Record & cover are both in very good plus condition. The disc has one or two inaudible surface marks, but has been professionally cleaned to very good effect; the cover has the remains of two price stickers on the front (it should be possible to remove these) and a small note in pen written neatly on the back. The matt white finish on the back is slightly discoloured, but only to the extent you would expect after 40 years. Very rare issue.
