IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION (possibly never been played as there are no spindle traces or signs of use to the labels and the sleeve is as crisp and fresh as the day it was made) AND THE AUDIO DELIVERY IS FLAWLESS THROUGHOUT - A FANTASTIC COPY ENCOMPASSING NEIL YOUNG'S EARLIEST MATERIAL (Sugar Mountain) THROUGH TO HIS LATEST (Powderfinger)

THIS COPY HAS AN UNUSUAL MIS-PRESSING (never seen this before) WITH NO SIDE THREE LABEL PRINTED - SIDE THREE HAS THE SIDE FOUR LABEL PRESSED INSTEAD - THE RECORD HOWEVER, PLAYS SIDE THREE AS NORMAL

All the kudos Neil Young earned with his record company for Rust Never Sleeps he lost for Live Rust, the double-LP live album released just four months later.
Live Rust was the soundtrack to Young's concert film Rust Never Sleeps (he had wanted to give it that title, but Reprise vetoed the idea, fearing confusion with the earlier album), and likewise it was recorded October 22, 1978, at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.
But much of the Rust Never Sleeps album had been recorded on the same tour, and Live Rust repeated four songs from that disc; besides, since Young had released the career retrospective Decade in 1977, critics felt he was (unfairly) recycling his older material and repeating his new material.
In retrospect, however, Live Rust comes off as a near perfect Neil Young live album and career summary, starting with the early song "Sugar Mountain" and running through then-new songs like "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)" and "Powderfinger." and the various distractions of the concert itself and the film, such as the pretentious props and cowled roadies (Spinal Tap anyone?), are absent, and what's left is a terrific Neil Young concert recording

LABELS: Clean, bright and unmarked labels (though quite roughly printed) with no spindle traces or signs of use - in my opinion this copy may have never been played - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen with just some pressing blemishes (which are within the vinyl itself and are not later markings - these have no audio consequence) - EXCELLENT
VINYLS Audio: Outstanding audio reproduction throughout with a beautifully recorded and engineered live sound of the highest quality - fresh, sharp and immediate - and on playback at a loud volume it sounds absolutely sensational. This is a beautifully clean pressing with no audio issues to report and is critically graded MINT - a fantastic copy - the playback is pristine
SLEEVE: The gatefold cover is practically as-new with no edge, corner or spine wear - all text is clear and bold. There is a little record impression to the front and back surfaces (very minor) otherwise, a strong NEAR MINT
INNER SLEEVES: The two picture inners are also practically untouched - clean and unmarked with no splits - again, a strong NEAR MINT
