Click FIND. You will see many shipping choices. The cheapest rate service at the bottom of the results is for surface shipping. I will not ship via surface (except to the USA). From experience, it can take anywhere from 4-12 long weeks for overseas shipping. Because of this extended delivery time, customers understandably become impatient, worried and file paypal claims. This is no fun for anyone. So no surface shipping. Look further up the shipping services/price list to SMALL PACKET-INTERNATIONAL AIR. This is the shipping service/price you see here at ebay. I do not charge extra for shipping.
Need more explanation? Canada Post ships by weight. Two weight/price categories are 0kg-0.5kg and 0.5kg-1kg. A record with truly proper packaging (1-2 pieces of cardboard, appropriately taped, possibly bubble wrap) weighs anywhere from just over 0.5kg up to 1kg. Very rarely, lightweight vinyl records with thin covers (and packaging) will weigh just under 0.5kg, but this is uncommon. So the price quote you see is for a properly packaged average weight record, weighing somewhere between 0.5kg and 1kg. On a positive note, you can often have a 2nd record ship and still be under 1kg. So it ships for free. Ask before bidding to be sure that your combined shipping will be free for the 2nd record.
Finally, some Canadian ebay sellers will actually drive to the USA to ship their packages because it is so much cheaper to ship from the USA. Even though Canada is located physically close to the USA, shipping through Canada Post is 2-3x more expensive than shipping from the USA. I don't have the time nor the volume of sales to be able to drive to the USA to make shipments. Shipping from Canada is completely different than shipping from the USA!
