Description
"'Folk Singer' cut in 1963 represented a departure from the electric 'urban' blues sound that Muddy had pioneered - an all-acoustic session that illustrated Muddy's deep-rooted rural blues influences, reminiscent of the sides he made nearly a quarter of a century earlier in Mississippi."
This is the reissue dating from 1984 when MCA Distribution purchased the Chess Records catalog from All Platinum, including six original Muddy Waters compositions including My Home Is In the Delta.Willie Dixon plays bass on four tracks and penned My Captain.
