Mothers of Invention   -   We're Only In It For The Money         (Stereo) Verve   V6 - 5045

This is an original 1968 U.S. Verve pressing of The Mother's Of Invention's groundbreaking, satirical 3rd lp, "We're Only In It For The Money". For my money, the best lp to come out of the psychedelic era (which is ironic considering the lp torched everything that the followers of psychedelia stood for). Massively ahead of it's time. A lot of it still stands up today. Essential.  

Dead wax  has V6-5045   SIDE 1   MGS-1250-REV F all etched on Side 1 and V6-5045   SIDE 2   MGS-1251-REV-F all etched on Side 2.     

Vinyl visual Grading:  VG+/NM with almost no marks. Low play indicated by complete lack of spindle marks on labels. Side 1 label is off-centre. 

Vinyl play Grading:  VG+ with EXCELLENT FIDELITY and some low-level background noise that may disappear altogether with a good, thorough cleaning. 

Cover visual Grading:  VG/VG+ on this single sleeve cardboard cover. Spine and seams are nice (with a bit of splitting on the bottom seam of lp pocket). Moderate rubbing wear front. Inner gatefold is NICE.

Includes poly-lined plain white paper inner.

My musical tastes run all over the map so there should be something for everyone depending on the particular day.  My goal is to become an HONEST, TRUSTED and RELIABLE provider of EXCELLENT quality vinyl and cds.  The grading system I employ for vinyl will be as follows:

NM:  Virtually unmarked / considered either RARELY PLAYED, AS NEW OPENED, or record could still be SEALED.

VG+:  NO scratches/scuffs. At most a few light surface blemishes which have VERY LITTLE or NO effect on fidelity. 

VG:  Used but CERTAINLY NOT abused, perhaps extremely light surface scratching/scuffing causing noise which DOES NOT significantly compromise the fidelity of the music

G:   There will be visible marking and noise evident but the record will still be listenable and enjoyable, depending on your ears.

I do not use the Mint grading since there really is no such thing as perfection. Also, I will NOT sell noisy vinyl (Fair/Poor gradings) UNLESS I feel that there is significant historical and/or collector interest in the item. 

ALL records will have been visually graded under BRIGHT light and play graded on a Thorens TD165 table with little used Shure cartridge (at about 1.5 grams) and JBL reference headphones with the Treble set HIGH. This play-grading system masks very little so rest assured that my descriptions will be ACCURATE.

All of my listings will have the particulars detailed (ie. any blemishes, detail concerning condition of vinyl, cover, etc.). All records will be shipped in new or top-condition recycled record mailers with well padded corners and extra stiffeners. Original inners will be included if available, and all vinyl/covers will be held within a poly outer (vinyl will be outside of cover).

On occasion, I will be listing cds. All of the cds will have their particular condition detailed within the listing. Shipping for cds will be $3 within Canada/U.S. and $5 to U.K./Japan. I will, of course, offer shipping/handling cost breaks on multiple items BUT since I am shipping from Canada (where we live with NOTORIOUSLY high postal rates), you may not receive the price break that you are hoping for.   AGAIN, being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing some of the costs of postage and ALL of the costs of shipping materials.
