MOSAIC MR20-134 Various THE COMPLETE COMMODORE SESSIONS VOLUME THREE
A long-deleted 20LP box set, one of three which gathered together all of the material that could be located from this famous label, originally associated with a small record shop in NYC. This was by far the largest reissue programme that Mosaic attempted and there will be little attempt to list all of the riches to be found here. Please note that all three box sets are being listed. This third set has titles recorded between 1938 (some newly discovered titles from a Bud Freeman session) through to the Peck Kelley session of June 1957. This has the usual luxury booklet with high-definition photographs, full track listings and discographical details. There is also an extra booklet with a full Commodore discography. The records and booklet are stored in two smaller boxes that fit inside the large outer sleeve that you can see in the photo. There are, of course, many previously unissued performances. DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The discs are E+ to N- (VG++toM-), 'as new' apart from a few very minor light scuffs only, visible under a bright 'grading' light. The box is EtoE+ (VG+toVG++), with minor corner damage and some surface rubbing, including to the logo on the front. This damage is to the outer sleeve only. A previous owner has stuck small white labels on each inner cover and on the spines of the two individual boxes - to make it easier to find what you are looking for!
NOTE ON POSTAGE AND PACKING. These boxes are heavy - over 4kg. Only p&p within the UK has been quoted. We will ship worldwide and will be happy to quote for individual countries. However, you better be sitting down when you read it!
